He was pretty damn hilarious in the 2016 debates and no cast of liars and losers ever more deeply deserved a televised pantsing than the buffoons who shared the stage with him; then of course he toppled "the most qualified candidate in history" and made a million tears flow in Brooklyn, which so far may just be this century's comedy apex.
But now until he's dead the media and the Democrats will hang him around the necks of the Republicans like a fiery noose and if he should somehow lose the 2024 primary he will gleefully play the role of spoiler and kneecap whoever is the nominee.
